Time flies...

Today marks the day Sophie ends Pre-K.  Her graduation program is this afternoon.  I still can't quite come to terms with the fact that she starts kindergarten next year.

One of my plans for her now that she's hit this milestone is to get her to start doing chores on a more regular basis.  We'll probably use something like this.  To get her started, I've been working on cleaning her room today. Of course, now that I'm just about done, I realize I should have had her helping me through the entire process so she could see just how much fun it is to clean her room when disaster strikes.

I've cleaned out the toy box and drawers with the hope it will prevent a massive buildup of toys on top of the toy box and drawers.  I've also cleaned out the closet, organizing the toys and clothes in there with the same thought in mind.  She'll probably be upset with some of the toys I decided to pull, but I think they're all toys she hasn't touched in some time.

We need to consider a big girl bed for her. She's just about too big for the toddler bed.  The question is, do we get a loft style bed to give her extra room, a bunk/trundle so she can have a place for other people to sleep if she has a sleepover, or a regular twin sized bed that chews up the entire floor?  If we can get a bed with storage in it we could possibly remove the dresser.  So many choices!

What I find I like most about this whole cleanse and purge is that there is now room for a Scentsy warmer in there.  I'm not sure if she's ready for the responsibility, so it will probably be on a probationary period.  She'll probably pick something pink, with a pink scent to warm.

Yikes, my baby is growing up!  Kindergarten, a big girl bed, a Scentsy warmer...I'm not so sure I'm ready for all of this!

  1. We've agreed to hold off on putting a warmer in her room. She does have a Buddy and loves it to pieces. There probably would be no problem with a warmer if it was just her, but if she has friends playing in her room... I don't even want to think what might happen.
